Happy Belated Birthday @BarstoolBubby!! 🥳 🎉 🎁🎂🎈

Okay so I need to start by saying you're gonna have to take how meshuggana my family is with a grain of Kosher salt.

Maybe a couple hundred thousand grains tbh 😳.

Especially my Dad Benjie. There's a *lot* going on there and trust me you guys are gonna LOVE him. But he's nucking futs. And I of course mean that in the best possible way.

But for this blog in particular all you need to know is that he wrote the Facebook post below, despite it saying Sandra. You see Sanda, or Bubby to me, was Benjie's mama. So my grandma for all you yutzes out there. And although this was posted July 30, 2019, Bubby sadly passed away in 2018 ☠️⚰️😇.

Just for a little bit of context, Reesa is my aunt (so her daughter) and David is her brother.

My Dad's always saying, "There are so many dead people on Facebook. I want to create Deadbook™️©️." Trademark, copyright, etc. so BACK OFF Zuckerberg. It was his twisted way of the dead communicating with us. So he made that post. (And he really does think it's a million dollar idea, btw 😳.)

Now I knew he was doing it so I obviously thought it was cute and hilarious. Meanwhile my sister, who didn't, is texting me WTF is wrong with Dad??? And I do understand how it could be startling to see a post pop up from someone you know for a fact is 6 feet under. And someone who never really knew how to use social media in the first place. Seeing a post from Bubby would've been weird enough when she had a pulse.

Which is why it's kind of funny that here we are a few years later and I created and am running @barstoolbubby, an account where I have now become the Bubby.

I thought I had like 50 more years before this happened. I really did 🤦🏼‍♀️.

I originally created her to run social media for the sadly no-longer-with-us #TheCousins Sirius radio show but she is also so much more than that. She is exactly what my Bubbies were to me: the greatest hype men of all-time. No matter who you are, she's rooting for you.

She'll butter you up, flatter you, and yes, of course, throw in probably too much of that infamous Jewish guilt. But she means well, I promise. And she has a heart of gold. 💛

Although it might sound a little meshug, every time I tweet as Bubby I channel my Bubbies and it almost feels like I'm communicating with them. And I really hope I make them proud.

(I'm sorry some of them are so thirsty but we did call you beauties #BILFs for a reason!! 😛)

Nobody will ever compare to your real life grandparents but @BarstoolBubby's a pretty cool backup Bubby, if you will.

After all, everyone needs a Bubby.

It was my Bubby Sandra's birthday on July 29th, and I made it @BarstoolBubby's official birthday too 🎈🎈.

Happy belated birthday Bubby. Love you always. Miss you.

I'll try to do something about the A/C. Or better yet see if I can get you your heating pad.
